At Chapel Hill Training, we work with highly qualified individuals from diverse training backgrounds, allowing us to grow together in our knowledge of health, wellness, and fitness.
Each staff member holds at minimum a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or Kinesiology and at least one nationally accredited personal training, strength and conditioning, or health coaching certification.
Our trainers are categorized into tiers based on certifications and experience levels.


About Our Tiered Structure
Our tiered pricing structure supports our staff, encourages advancement, and rewards longevity while maintaining the excellent service we're known for. Pricing is based on objective measures including experience level, certifications, degrees, and client retention rates. Higher-tier trainers include a surcharge added to our base rates.
As an employer, CHT creates a welcoming and flexible environment where trainers can pursue their fitness passion and develop their skills through commission raises, benefits, and diverse training opportunities.
Tier 1

1 year tenure at CHT while maintaining base full-time hours

Hold and maintain at least one personal training certification

Average quarterly retention rate of 80% or higher
Tier 2

2-4 years tenure at CHT

Hold and maintain at least two nationally accredited certifications

Master's degree in Exercise & Sport Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Psychology, Athletic Training, or related fields

Average quarterly retention rate of 80% or higher
10% surcharge applies when working with Tier 2 trainers.
Tier 3
-
5-8 years tenure at CHT

Hold and maintain at least three nationally accredited certifications

Master's degree + two years client experience + one certification
-
Doctorate degree + one year client experience + one certification
20% surcharge applies when working with Tier 2 trainers.
